Dental technologist (occlusal plates)

Summum Dental Laboratory is currently looking for a dental technologist to join its large team of more than 100 employees. Under the responsibility of the manager of the orthodontic department, the technologist’s main responsibility is to carry out the design and manufacture of orthodontic appliances.

This is a permanent, full-time, on-site position in Longueuil.

WHAT WILL BE YOUR ROLE

• Read and understand the prescription and the need of the professional;
• Carry out all manufacturing steps from models already cast/printed;
• Know and adapt to the different products used;
• Deliver a product that meets the quality criteria within the prescribed deadlines;
• Work and communicate with peers.

WHAT IS A GOOD “FIT” FOR THE JOB

• Hold a Diploma of College Studies (DEC) in denture techniques or equivalent experience
• Three (3) years of experience in similar functions;
• Knowledge of CAD-CAM software (an important asset);
• Knowledge of products and materials used (asset);
• Good manual dexterity;
• Desire to learn and take on challenges.
